A little glance of Antigua’s Architecture History

The person in charge of the outline of the colonial city was the Engineer Juan Bautista Antonelli, who was in charge to establish the Central Park from which the streets and blocks would be measured towards the four cardinal points. Therefore, to the east of the central park, the Cathedral of San José was established, to the south the Palace of the Captains, to the West the Portal of Bakers or commerce and to the north the Palace of the City.
